Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: October 1, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the IAS Repair website, including iasrepair.ca, and the purchase or use of appliance repair, installation, diagnostic, maintenance, and related services provided by IAS Repair & Parts (“IAS Repair,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using our website, submitting a service request, booking an appointment, approving an estimate, authorizing service work, or otherwise engaging IAS Repair for services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms, subject to any rights and protections that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

  1. About IAS Repair

IAS Repair & Parts is an appliance repair and service company based in Cambridge, Ontario, serving customers throughout Southwestern Ontario.

Our services may include residential appliance repair, appliance diagnostics, appliance installation, replacement of appliance parts, maintenance, warranty-related service, and other services described on our website or provided through an authorized service arrangement.

IAS Repair may provide services for a variety of appliance brands. Where applicable, IAS Repair may also provide manufacturer-authorized service for manufacturers with whom we have an authorized service relationship.

A reference to a manufacturer, brand, or authorized service relationship does not mean that the manufacturer is a party to every transaction with IAS Repair.

  1. Website Use

You may use this website for lawful purposes and to obtain information about IAS Repair and our services.

You agree not to:

  • use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes;
  • submit false, misleading, or unauthorized information;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the website;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or accounts;
  • copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit website content without our permission;
  • upload malicious code, viruses, or other harmful material; or
  • use our website to impersonate another person or business.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the website at any time.

  1. Service Requests and Online Bookings

Submitting an appointment request through our website, booking platform, telephone, email, text message, or another communication method does not necessarily guarantee that an appointment has been accepted or confirmed.

An appointment may be subject to:

  • technician availability;
  • service-area availability;
  • appliance type and model;
  • parts availability;
  • manufacturer or warranty requirements;
  • access to the appliance;
  • information supplied by the customer; and
  • other operational circumstances.

An appointment is considered confirmed when IAS Repair provides confirmation through an applicable booking system, telephone call, text message, email, or other communication.

Appointment times may be provided as estimated arrival windows rather than guaranteed arrival times.

We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the communicated appointment window, but delays may occur because of traffic, weather, previous service calls, emergency situations, parts issues, diagnostic complexity, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

  1. Customer Information and Appointment Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when requesting service.

This may include:

  • customer name;
  • telephone number;
  • email address;
  • service address;
  • postal code;
  • appliance type;
  • appliance brand;
  • model number;
  • serial number, where available;
  • description of the problem;
  • warranty information; and
  • other information reasonably required to provide service.

Providing accurate appliance information helps us assign the appropriate technician, prepare for the appointment, and determine potential parts requirements.

If information provided by the customer is incomplete or inaccurate, IAS Repair may need to reschedule the appointment or may be unable to complete the requested service.

  1. Diagnostic and Service Charges

Appliance diagnosis is an important part of our service process.

A diagnostic or service charge may apply when a technician attends a customer’s property to inspect, test, troubleshoot, or diagnose an appliance.

Any applicable diagnostic, service, trip, labour, or other charges will be communicated through the applicable service process, estimate, booking information, invoice, or other customer communication.

A diagnostic assessment does not necessarily mean that the appliance will be repaired during the same visit.

In some situations, additional diagnostic work may be necessary to identify the cause of a problem, particularly where an appliance has multiple faults, intermittent symptoms, concealed components, wiring issues, control problems, or other conditions that cannot reasonably be identified through an initial inspection.

  1. Estimates and Authorization for Repair Work

Where a repair estimate is provided, the estimate is based on the information and conditions reasonably available to IAS Repair at the time it is prepared.

An estimate may change if additional problems are discovered, the appliance condition differs from what was represented, additional parts are required, or the customer requests additional or different work.

IAS Repair will seek customer authorization before proceeding with additional chargeable work beyond the scope authorized by the customer, subject to applicable law.

A technician may recommend that an appliance not be repaired when the appliance presents a safety concern, has extensive damage, has multiple unrelated failures, has obsolete or unavailable parts, or when repair may not be reasonably practical.

Recommendations are based on the technician’s observations and available information. Customers remain responsible for deciding whether to proceed with a repair, replacement, or other option.

  1. Parts

Parts installed during a repair may include original equipment manufacturer (OEM), manufacturer-approved, aftermarket, or other compatible parts, depending on the repair, availability, manufacturer requirements, warranty requirements, and customer authorization.

Where the type or source of a part is material to the service, the applicable estimate, invoice, manufacturer warranty requirements, or service documentation may identify the part being supplied.

Parts may need to be ordered specifically for a customer’s appliance.

Special-order parts may be subject to manufacturer or supplier return restrictions.

Where applicable law requires removed parts to be made available to the customer, IAS Repair will comply with those requirements.

Parts replaced under a manufacturer warranty or service program may be required to be returned to the manufacturer or distributor.

  1. Parts Availability and Delays

IAS Repair does not guarantee that every appliance part will be immediately available.

Repair completion may be delayed because of:

  • manufacturer backorders;
  • discontinued parts;
  • supplier delays;
  • shipping delays;
  • incorrect or incomplete model information;
  • manufacturer warranty requirements;
  • parts arriving damaged or defective; or
  • circumstances outside IAS Repair’s reasonable control.

If a required part becomes unavailable or discontinued, we may inform the customer and discuss available options.

  1. Repair Warranty

Where IAS Repair provides a written warranty on labour and/or parts, the applicable warranty period, coverage, exclusions, and conditions will be identified on the applicable invoice, estimate, warranty document, or service documentation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a repair warranty applies only to the specific repair work and/or parts covered by the applicable warranty.

A warranty on one repair does not automatically cover:

  • unrelated appliance failures;
  • unrelated components;
  • new problems that develop after the original repair;
  • damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, improper operation, or external conditions;
  • damage caused by electrical, plumbing, gas, ventilation, water, drainage, or other building-related conditions outside the repaired appliance;
  • damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications;
  • damage caused by moving or transporting the appliance after service;
  • problems resulting from other components failing after the original repair; or
  • conditions specifically excluded by the applicable written warranty.

Where a covered warranty issue occurs, the customer should contact IAS Repair as soon as reasonably possible and before another party performs additional work on the appliance, unless immediate action is reasonably necessary to address a safety issue or prevent significant damage.

Unauthorized third-party repairs or modifications may affect the ability to diagnose whether a subsequent issue is related to the original repair.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any warranty, condition, right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

  1. Manufacturer Warranty and Authorized Service

IAS Repair may perform services under manufacturer warranty or authorized service programs where applicable.

Manufacturer warranty service may be subject to the manufacturer’s own:

  • warranty terms;
  • eligibility requirements;
  • parts policies;
  • service procedures;
  • authorization requirements; and
  • coverage limitations.

A manufacturer’s warranty is separate from any independent warranty provided by IAS Repair unless the applicable service documentation states otherwise.

Customers may be required to provide proof of purchase, warranty information, model information, serial number, or other information required by the manufacturer.

IAS Repair cannot guarantee that a manufacturer will approve a particular repair, part, labour charge, or warranty claim.

  1. Appliance Installation Services

Installation services are subject to the scope of work described in the applicable estimate, booking, or service documentation.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the installation location is reasonably accessible and suitable for the appliance being installed.

Unless specifically included in the agreed scope of work, installation charges may not include:

  • major electrical modifications;
  • new electrical circuits;
  • major plumbing modifications;
  • structural modifications;
  • cabinetry modifications;
  • countertop modifications;
  • drywall or flooring repairs;
  • gas-line modifications;
  • venting modifications;
  • permits or inspections; or
  • correction of pre-existing installation deficiencies.

Where specialized licensed trade work or permits are required, the customer may be responsible for arranging the appropriate qualified contractor unless IAS Repair has expressly agreed to provide that work.

IAS Repair may decline or stop an installation if existing conditions appear unsafe, non-compliant, inaccessible, or unsuitable for the requested installation.

  1. Customer Responsibilities Before an Appointment

Customers are responsible for providing reasonable access to the appliance and the surrounding work area.

Before an appointment, customers should, where reasonably possible:

  • clear access to the appliance;
  • remove items that obstruct the appliance or work area;
  • ensure an adult is available when required;
  • secure pets;
  • provide access to the appliance, electrical disconnects, water supply, gas shut-off, breaker panel, or other relevant components where necessary;
  • provide accurate model and service information; and
  • disclose known safety concerns or previous repairs.

If a technician cannot safely or reasonably access the appliance, IAS Repair may be unable to complete the service.

Additional service charges may apply where additional attendance is required because the appliance was inaccessible or the customer was not reasonably prepared for the appointment, where permitted by applicable law and disclosed through the applicable service terms.

  1. Safety

IAS Repair prioritizes the safety of customers, technicians, property, and appliances.

A technician may decline to perform work where conditions appear unsafe, including circumstances involving:

  • exposed or damaged electrical wiring;
  • unsafe gas conditions;
  • significant water leakage;
  • fire or overheating hazards;
  • structural instability;
  • hazardous materials;
  • inaccessible equipment;
  • unsafe working conditions; or
  • other conditions that may create an unreasonable risk.

If an appliance presents an immediate safety concern, customers should stop using the appliance and, where appropriate, contact the relevant emergency or utility service.

  1. Existing Conditions and Concealed Damage

Appliances may have pre-existing damage, deterioration, improper installation, corrosion, brittle components, damaged fasteners, concealed wiring problems, water damage, or other conditions that cannot always be identified before disassembly.

IAS Repair will take reasonable care when performing service.

However, where a component fails or damage becomes apparent because of its existing condition, age, deterioration, corrosion, improper prior installation, or another pre-existing condition, the customer may be responsible for the additional repair or replacement cost if the additional work is authorized.

We will communicate material additional work or costs before proceeding whenever reasonably possible.

  1. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Customers should provide as much notice as reasonably possible when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.

Because appointments require technician scheduling and travel, repeated cancellations, missed appointments, or last-minute cancellations may affect future appointment availability.

Any applicable cancellation, missed-appointment, or service-call charge will be communicated to the customer before it is charged, where required.

IAS Repair reserves the right to refuse or restrict future bookings where a customer repeatedly fails to attend appointments, provides materially inaccurate information, behaves abusively toward staff, or otherwise interferes with the reasonable operation of our services.

Nothing in this section limits any cancellation rights provided by applicable law.

  1. Payment

Payment is due according to the payment terms communicated at the time of service.

IAS Repair may accept payment methods that we make available from time to time, which may include credit card, debit card, electronic payment, or other methods.

Customers are responsible for all amounts properly charged for authorized services, parts, applicable taxes, and other disclosed charges.

If payment is declined or remains outstanding, IAS Repair may restrict further non-warranty service until the outstanding balance is resolved, subject to applicable law.

  1. Taxes

Applicable sales taxes and other legally required charges may be added to the price of services and parts.

The tax treatment of a transaction may depend on the nature of the goods or services supplied and applicable tax legislation.

  1. Property and Access

Customers must provide a reasonably safe and accessible working environment.

IAS Repair is not responsible for damage to customer property that results from pre-existing conditions, defective construction, improper installation, concealed conditions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where service requires moving an appliance or accessing surrounding areas, technicians will use reasonable care. Customers should identify fragile items, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, walls, or other property requiring special attention before work begins.

  1. Customer-Supplied Parts

IAS Repair may, at its discretion, agree to install customer-supplied parts.

Where IAS Repair agrees to install a customer-supplied part:

  • the customer is responsible for confirming that the part is correct and compatible;
  • installation labour does not guarantee that the part itself is functional;
  • IAS Repair may decline installation if the part appears incorrect, damaged, unsafe, counterfeit, or unsuitable; and
  • any warranty provided by IAS Repair may be limited or excluded for customer-supplied parts, as stated in the applicable service documentation.

Additional diagnostic or labour charges may apply if installation of a customer-supplied part does not resolve the reported problem.

  1. Third-Party Services and Booking Platforms

IAS Repair may use third-party service providers and platforms for functions such as:

  • appointment scheduling;
  • service management;
  • customer communications;
  • payment processing;
  • website hosting;
  • analytics;
  • advertising;
  • manufacturer warranty systems; and
  • other business operations.

For example, an online appointment may be processed through a third-party booking or service-management platform.

Third-party platforms may have their own terms, privacy policies, availability limitations, and technical requirements.

IAS Repair is not responsible for temporary outages, errors, access restrictions, or technical failures of third-party systems that are outside our reasonable control.

  1. Website Information and Pricing

We make reasonable efforts to keep information on our website accurate and current.

However, website content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or pricing that has changed.

Website descriptions, service information, photographs, promotional offers, prices, and availability are not necessarily a binding offer to provide services at a particular price unless expressly confirmed by IAS Repair.

The price applicable to a particular service will be the price communicated and authorized through the applicable booking, estimate, service agreement, invoice, or other customer documentation, subject to applicable law.

  1. Promotions and Special Offers

Promotional offers may be subject to specific terms, eligibility requirements, geographic limitations, expiration dates, service restrictions, and other conditions stated with the promotion.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional offers cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.

IAS Repair reserves the right to correct typographical or pricing errors and to withdraw or modify promotions where permitted by law.

  1. Communications

By requesting service from IAS Repair, you may receive communications necessary to provide the requested service, including:

  • appointment confirmations;
  • appointment reminders;
  • technician arrival information;
  • service updates;
  • estimates;
  • invoices;
  • warranty communications; and
  • responses to customer inquiries.

Promotional communications, where sent, will be handled in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

Customers may opt out of promotional electronic communications using the unsubscribe mechanism provided or by contacting IAS Repair, subject to communications that are necessary to provide an existing service or fulfill a transaction.

  1. Privacy

IAS Repair collects and uses personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it with service providers, how we protect it, and the choices and rights available to customers.

By using our website or requesting services, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review our Privacy Policy.

  1. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, website content, including text, logos, graphics, photographs, designs, layouts, service descriptions, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to IAS Repair and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may view and use the website for personal and legitimate business purposes.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, sell, or commercially exploit our website content without prior written permission.

  1. Reviews, Testimonials, and Customer Content

Customers may have opportunities to provide reviews, testimonials, photographs, comments, or other content relating to IAS Repair.

By voluntarily submitting content to IAS Repair for publication or marketing purposes, you represent that you have the right to provide that content and that it does not knowingly violate the rights of another person.

IAS Repair may use customer-submitted content for legitimate business and marketing purposes where appropriate and permitted.

Customers should not submit confidential, sensitive, or unnecessary personal information through public review or testimonial channels.

  1. Links to Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, manufacturers, service providers, booking platforms, payment providers, or other resources.

Third-party websites are not controlled by IAS Repair.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, security, or terms of third-party websites.

Customers should review the applicable third-party terms and privacy policies before using those services.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, IAS Repair will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from the use of our website or services.

This may include, where legally permitted, losses associated with:

  • loss of use;
  • loss of income;
  • business interruption;
  • loss of data;
  • inconvenience; or
  • other consequential damages.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

  1. No Guarantee of Appliance Life or Future Performance

Repairing an appliance does not guarantee that the appliance will remain operational for a particular period of time.

Appliances contain multiple independent components that can fail at different times.

A successful repair addresses the diagnosed problem within the scope of the authorized repair. It does not guarantee that another component will not subsequently fail.

Where an appliance has multiple problems, significant age-related deterioration, or other conditions that make continued operation uncertain, IAS Repair may communicate those observations to the customer.

  1. Force Majeure

IAS Repair is not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These may include:

  • severe weather;
  • road closures;
  • traffic disruptions;
  • natural disasters;
  • power outages;
  • supplier or manufacturer disruptions;
  • shipping delays;
  • labour disruptions;
  • government restrictions;
  • telecommunications or internet failures;
  • equipment failures; or
  • other events beyond our reasonable control.

Where reasonably possible, we will communicate significant delays and work with customers to reschedule affected appointments.

  1. Disputes and Customer Concerns

We encourage customers to contact IAS Repair first if they have a concern about a service, invoice, repair, installation, warranty, or other transaction.

We will make reasonable efforts to review and resolve legitimate concerns.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.

Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals having lawful jurisdiction over the matter, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or remedies available under applicable law.

  1. Changes to These Terms

IAS Repair may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, website, business practices, or applicable legal requirements.

The updated version will be posted on this website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Changes will not retroactively alter rights or obligations arising from a transaction that has already been completed except where permitted or required by law.

  1. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally possible.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

  1. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable estimate, invoice, service authorization, warranty document, booking terms, Privacy Policy, and other written service documentation provided by IAS Repair, form the applicable agreement between IAS Repair and the customer for the relevant transaction, subject to applicable law.

If there is a conflict between these website Terms and a specific written service agreement, estimate, invoice, warranty document, or manufacturer warranty applicable to a particular transaction, the specific transaction document will generally govern that transaction to the extent of the conflict.
